Affiliate disclosure: where this site's money comes from
Readers have a right to know who pays for what they read. So, plainly: sly-casino.com is an independent information site funded by affiliate commissions. We are not an operator, we are not owned by Sly and we do not speak on its behalf. Below we explain how the model works, what does and does not influence our content, and how to recognise an affiliate link.
How an affiliate link works
The buttons and some of the links to Sly on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and register with the operator, the operator may pay us a commission. The size and conditions of that payment are set in the affiliate programme agreement; registering this way costs you nothing more, and your account terms are the same as with a direct sign-up. We receive no data from the operator about your account, deposits or play — only aggregate information needed to calculate the commission.
What is not for sale
- Ratings. We accept no payment for positive reviews, a higher score or the removal of criticism.
- What we write about risk. The pages on stop-points, limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are written as we would write them without any affiliate deal. If they persuade you to play less or to stop, they have done their job.
- Operator facts. We don't publish bonus amounts, minimum deposits or payout times as facts when we cannot confirm them. The affiliate model is no reason to make them up.
The conflict of interest, named
It would be dishonest to claim there is no conflict of interest. A site that earns from registrations has an interest in more people registering. We deal with that in three ways. First, every bonus and payments page includes a section on how that product affects control over play — for example, how a wagering requirement pushes you to keep playing past your money stop. Second, we always state that terms and limits depend on the operator and the account and must be checked in the cashier. Third, we point readers to the regulator's public register so they can check the operator's licence themselves instead of taking our word for it.
Who writes, and how
Content is written and edited by Desislava Koeva. She receives no bonus or pay linked to the number of registrations from any particular page. When we assess something, the basis is stated in the text: what can be checked in the operator's terms and what cannot. More about our method on About this guide and the author page.
Adults only, and responsibly
Affiliate links are meant for adult readers for whom online gambling is legal where they live. If play stops being entertainment, no commission is a reason to continue. Start with Session control, and if you need to talk to someone, contact your national helpline — in Bulgaria, 0888-99-18-66, anonymous, working days 11:00–17:00, charged at your mobile tariff.
How to recognise an affiliate link
Affiliate links lead to the operator's site and open in a new tab; they are usually buttons with text such as "Visit Sly". Internal links lead to other pages of sly-casino.com. If you prefer not to use an affiliate link, you can type the operator's address yourself — our content stays exactly the same.
